Longchen Nyingthig Refuge Tree

Atak Rinpoche offered a land to His Holiness Dodrupchen Rinpoche but he refused to accept it and instead His Holiness ordered him to construct a monastery. From 2007, Atak Rinpoche has started his project and with great determination and struggle he had able to achieve the command of His Holiness. Above statue of Longchen Nyingthig Refuge Tree is for the first time in the world which was made and inspect by His Holiness 4th Dodrupchen Rinpoche at Gangtok on request by Atak Rinpoche. Also, after the completion of statue, His Holiness Dodrupchen Rinpoche came to our monastery and consecrate the statue by himself. Currently, it is the main statue of our monastery.

“The most fortunate time has been come in to Ladakh with the stepped of His Holiness Drodupchen Rinpoche. On 22-05-16, His Holiness Drodupchen Rinpoche has arrived in Leh at 7:15am that was the most beautiful feelings of like sun shine in our heart. He took rest for two days and on the third day he did opening ceremony of our monastery with his own hand and performed consecration as well as Ganapuja offerings and prevail body, speech and mind mandala offerings. His Holiness has also given an empowerment and oral transmission to his disciples on the same day.
Our monastery is the one and only Longchen Nyingthig monastery in Ladakh and the statues inside of the monastery are the world first statue that has ever been made by His Holiness Drodupchen Rinpoche under the period of one year and 7-month with my request.
In 2004, I have offered this barren land to His Holiness Drodupchen Rinpoche but he has refused to accept it and instead he ordered me to construct it by myself and I have started this project in 2007 with great struggle as well as with his blessings up to 2016 and is still going on. But 2016 year is the most fortunate as well as most beautiful moment in my life as His Holiness Drodupchen Rinpoche has come to Ladakh for the first time to visit my monastery with my many years of request and His Holiness himself saw the seed that I have sowed.”
